Hydro Hangout
The Wolf River
Originating above Pine Lake in Forest County, the river flows for more then 240 miles before joining the Fox River in Lake Butte de Morts.
We mostly operate between Lily, WI and Big Smokey Falls on the Menominee Indian Reservation. There are certain requirements and laws regarding the Reservation and we will inform you as required.

The upper reach features boulder gardens, rapids and waterfalls. This stretch is a popular destination and you will see other users. During normal flows, the majority of the rapids are Class 2 to Class 4.

Constant flow, rapids, boulder gardens and very little development makes for excellent fishing and sightseeing. Brown, Brook and Rainbow Trout, Large and Small Mouth
Bass, Panfish, Walleye, Northern Pike and Muskie all call the Wolf home. River
Chubs are also in certain spots if that's your thing.

There are no campsites along the River however there are a few private spots to
stay the night and we are currently working on Hydro Hangout specific spots for
our clients to enjoy.
